The horror
owl in Purmerend has attacked many more victims than has been originally published. At least 15 mentally handicapped inhabitants of
an institution, along with their caretakers, have been attacked. A spokesperson of the institution says that
many of its residents no longer dare to go outside, even though it would be
very healthy for them to do so.
Everybody who is attacked by the owl is wounded, and many have had to go
to the emergency ward to get vaccinated against tetanus. In the meantime, the
owl has made international news. Media
such as the BBC and The Guardian have published about it.
