Dutch Railways Use Dangerous Old Trains

The Dutch railways, NS, has for years continued to use old trains which can easily derail after any incident and thus cause enormous damage and delays.  Already back in 2008, the transport inspector warned the NS about these trains.  A few days ago, a train of this kind, a Mat 64, hit a car. The driver of the car was killed and the train derailed.  The repairs to the railway took a week.  There are 47 of the Mat 64 trains currently in use by NS.
