Minister of
Justice and Security Ivo Opstelten and Junior Minister Fred Teeven have handed
in their resignations shortly after the ministry announced that it had found out
that 15 years ago, the Ministry had paid 4.7 million guilders to a drug
trafficker, Cees H. Teeven at the time
had been the public prosecutor dealing with the case. Earlier, he had given a much lower
amount and thus mislead parliament.
