Two Billion Euro of Illegal Dutch Cannabis Exports

Police sources estimate that Dutch growers of cannabis (hemp) export illegally about 500 tons of their produce per year for a value of two billion Euro. Official Dutch exports of all flowers and plants are about 5.5 billion Euro. Police Commissioner Max Daniel, who leads the fight against cannabis growing, says that eighty percent of the illegally grown production is meant for export. He added that criminality in The Netherlands related to cannabis growing is increasing.
