Minister: Cameras on Clothing of Caretakers may be Necessary

Guusje ter Horst, Minister of the Interior (Labor), thinks that it may be necessary to equip some caretakers with cameras on their clothes in order to identify people who have attacked them. After Moroccan youngsters attacked ambulance workers recently in Amsterdam, the minister already announced such an experiment of equipping ambulances with cameras. However, this may not be enough because ambulance workers sometimes provide assistance in homes. The minister considered it an achievement that politicians, employers and employees no longer think that violence and non-verbal aggression are normal.
