Government Subsidizes Building of Ship Named after Former SS Member

Parliamentarian Sharon Gesthuizen of the left wing Socialist Party has asked the minister of economic affairs why a subsidy of 800,000 Euro was paid to the builder of a ship named after Pieter Schelte Heerema, a former member of the SS. This was discovered by the journalist Ton Biesemaat who is working on a book about the late industrialist Heerema.
