Increased Violence against Retailers

Violent robberies of retail shops by youngsters in the Netherlands are on the increase. In Amsterdam the problem is even more serious than in other localities. This was announced by Jules van Well, head security of the Central Bureau of Retail Traders. Recently it became known that a group of Moroccan youngsters had threatened staff at an Amsterdam branch of the large food retail chain Albert Heijn after they complained to the police about a robbery. [It is quite common in the Netherlands to mention the ethnicity of criminals.]
