Negligence in Dutch Hospital Operating Rooms

Many hospitals are careless in preventing infections in operating rooms. There is a lack of discipline regarding washing of hands and proper clothing, while the sterile environment in the operating rooms is often polluted by people coming in and out. There must also be safer use of medical materials, drugs and other apparatus. Thse are the results of a report by the Inspectorate for Health, which has investigated 22 hospital operating rooms.
