Towns Demand More Competence in Fight Against Street Terror

Twenty-three mayors of towns which have frequent problems with local youth are demanding more competence and funds from the government to deal with this issue. Moroccan youngsters in particular are causing a lot of trouble. Minister of the Interior Guusje ter Horst (Labor) will meet today with the mayors of the ten so-called “Moroccan communities”, i.e. the towns where Moroccan youngsters are causing particular problems. These are Ede, Gorinchem, The Hague, Culemborg, Gouda, Utrecht, Eindhoven, Den Bosch, Nijmegen and Tilburg. (It is quite common in the Netherlands to mention the ethnicity of troublemakers.)www.trouw.nl/nieuws/nederland/article1883899.ece/Gemeenten_willen_meer_armslag_tegen_straatterreur.html
