Lack of Discipline at Largest Dutch Military Base

In an internal newspaper at Oirschot, the largest Dutch army base, a senior officer complains about the lack of discipline of the 13th Mechanized Brigade. He claims that soldiers frequently drive too fast on the base, and that military personnel are regularly involved in fights in the nearby town of Eindhoven. Equipment is poorly maintained and soldiers are dressed sloppily. The officer warns that lack of respect for rules of hygiene can lead to illness which undermines the health of the military. The leadership of the land forces has denied that the situation at the base is so bad.
