Low Punishment for Corruption in the Netherlands


Greco, a working group of the Council of Europe states that Dutch punishments for corruption and bribery are too low and not in line with the Council’s guidelines. These punishments are also disproportionately low if compared to those applied in The Netherlands for other crimes such as theft and fraud.
