Parliamentarian Johan Remkes (Liberal Party) says that many radio and TV networks are influenced by left wing perspectives. He said that there is a need for a critical media body with right wing views. As an example he cited the biased reporting of the state-subsidized TV news NOS. A study by two organizations, WAAR and Israel Facts found that the NOS reported in a pro-Palestinian way during the recent Gaza war. Remkes added that there were also factual mistakes in favor of the Palestinians.
