The controversial British sheikh
Haitham Al-Haddad has said that a sharia court should be established in The
Netherlands. He mentioned that about 20 Muslim women per year come to London
for a religious divorce. These have only entered into a religious marriage and
not in a civil one. Al-Haddad regularly visits The Netherlands. He is known to
have said inter alia that it is sometimes necessary to stone women.
