A number of planes took off on
Saturday night from a runway at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, which was closed at
the time. The air controllers gave permission for these departures, which was
against the rules. A similar incident took place on 6 November last year. The
Council for Safety (OVV) has announced this and also that it will start an
inquiry.
