Security Personnel on Public Transport Halved during Holiday Period

On Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the security personnel of the Amsterdam public transport system will be cut in half. Myriam Bergervoet (Labor Party) said at night in particular there is a lack of staff, although transport personnel is frequently threatened during those hours. During the holiday period also the number of pickpockets increases.
