Netherlands Fifth Largest Exporter of Weapons

A report by the Campaign against Weapon Trade claims that the Netherlands is the world’s fifth largest exporter of weapons. It is preceded by the United States, Russia, Germany and France. The report also mentions that Amsterdam Airport is the nodal point for American weapon transports to Iraq and Afghanistan. Last month the campaign claimed that approximately 45 percent of Saddam Hussein’s Iraq supplies of poison gas in the nineteen eighties came from ten Netherlands.
