Use of Amphetamine Increasing Rapidly in the Netherlands

The use of amphetamine, which enables drinking larger amounts of alcohol, is the fastest growing addiction problem in the Netherlands, with youngsters in rural areas being the heaviest users. The number of requests for assistance to problematic users has tripled in the last five years, to 1,200 in 2006. These are the findings of the organization Informatie Voorziening Zorg (IVZ).
