The Inspectorate of Labor increasingly finds transgressions during the removal of asbestos. In 2005 and 2006 they investigated the destruction of 1,680 buildings which had contained asbestos. In more than half of these cases the regulations were not fully followed. For instance, it was found that not enough effort was made to contain the amount of asbestos fibers in the air as much as possible.
