Parliamentarian Joop Atsma (Christian Democrats) has stressed the need to reduce the number of faulty weather forecasts. He wants the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI) to consult commercial weather bureaus before announcing warnings of extreme bad weather.
