Several policemen of the Central Holland Region have, at their own initiative, investigated the families of their recently hired colleagues of non-western descent. They found that several of them are the brothers of well-known criminals. The policemen who carried out the investigation said that until recently it would have been unthinkable that the sibling of a criminal could be hired by the police force, as such a person would have access to police files on criminal family members. The Central Holland region has made a major effort to hire non-western immigrants. The head of the regional police Commissioner Jan Stikvoort has forbidden policemen to make such investigations on their own initiative.www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/3114801/___Allochtone_agenten_uit_criminele_families___.html
