Interior Minister Ronald Plasterk
(Labor) has said in Parliament that he’s concerned about the young Muslim
jihadists who want to fight for their religion in conflict areas, such as
Syria. He said that the number has grown in a very short time from 2 or 3 to
several tens. He is worried that they will return with fighting experience and
then can present risks to the Netherlands. He added that “this isn't so in most
cases.”
