Inspectorate Barely Supervising Smoking Prohibition in Cafés


The Dutch Food and Commodities Authority (NVWA) doesn’t have enough personnel to supervise the smoking prohibition in cafes and restaurants. In 2012, only 3,000 inspections were carried out in the 60,000 cafes and restaurants for which this prohibition is meant.
