Stricter Supervision of Driving Licensing Office due to Negligence

The Minister of Transport Camiel Eurlings (Christian Democrats) has announced stricter controls for the supervision of the Central Office for Driving Licenses (CBR). The minister says it is unacceptable that the CBR has forgotten to send 250 drivers caught by the police for drunken driving to a special course. Furthermore the CBR has been negligent with 262 files of drivers for whom a decision had to be taken on whether their license should be revoked because of major alcohol or drug abuse.
