Hospitals Close Surgeries Due to Lack of Nurses

A review of 20 hospitals in the western and central areas of the Netherlands has found that several hospitals have closed surgery rooms due to lack of nurses. An emergency plan to train additional nurses has not alleviated the situation, as many specialized nurses leave hospitals for the business world.
