Dutch Journalist Buys Heavy Machine Gun on Internet

Alberto Stegeman, a Dutch journalist, has purchased at least four fire arms and ammunition from Dutch criminals and other private people over the last few months. He responded to offers on Belgium websites. One of the items he purchased was a heavy caliber machine gun. He turned the weapons over to the police who said they were shocked that such things were available on the internet.
