The
prosecution has announced that in the framework of a major scandal, two
purchasing officials of the police department and four officials of the Ministry
of Defense will be brought to court on corruption charges regarding the
purchase of police vehicles. In total,
there are 47 suspects, which include officials, car companies and employees of
these companies. The case concerns the
purchase of 13,000 police vehicles in 2010.
