As far as wealth is concerned, the
richest 1% in the Netherlands own more than a quarter of all private wealth,
which is an increase over the previous year.
Meanwhile, the lowest socioeconomic strata increased their debts. These data come from the Central Bureau of Statistics,
who states that the wealthiest 75,000 Dutch households at the beginning of 2013
had 26.6% of the wealth, as against 24% at the beginning of 2012.
