Relatively High Percentage of Dutchmen Die as a Result of Skin Cancer


In the Netherlands, every year 3.6 per hundred thousand inhabitants die from skin cancer. That is more than in all other European countries, besides Slovenia, where the corresponding figure is 4.1. In Greece the figure is 1.2 per hundred thousand, in Spain with 1.5, in France 2 and in Germany and Luxembourg the figure is 2.1. Also, the figure of mortality from skin cancer grows faster than in all European countries besides Ireland and Slovenia. These data have been published by EuroStat, the data bank of the European Union.
