Christian Democrats and Labor Disagree on Drug Tolerance

Pieter van Geel, chairman of the Christian Democrats faction in Parliament, has said that the tolerance of soft drugs in so-called “coffee shops” must be ended and all of these shops should be closed. He said that the supply of drugs to these shops is a source of major income to leading criminals. He is supported by the smallest coalition party, but Labor, the second largest coalition party, wants to allow the tolerance to continue.
