Priority for Women Leads to Frustration among Police

During the coming three years Ter Horst, Minister of Interior, wants to reserve half the top positions of the police force for women and non-Western immigrants. Today there are only six females and one non-Western person among the 75 top officials. Ans Rietstra, the head of the police in the North Holland province, says that the Minister’s policy is leading to increasing frustration among senior police officials.
