Green Left Party Leader: Parliamentarian Caused Damage to Party

Party Leader Femke Halsema (Green Left) has said that the Parliamentarian burglar Wijnand Duyvendak caused damage to their party by the way he presented his activist actions in the past to the public [for one of these he received a jail sentence]. She thinks that the burglary more than twenty years ago in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, in which secret documents about an energy plant were stolen, was and remains “morally and politically unacceptable.” In view of the major recent criticism Duyvendak has now distanced himself from these actions in the media.
