In 2013, animal breeders have
transgressed laws at least 2.7 billion times. This was stated by two animal
protection organizations. They gave many examples about chickens, calves,
turkeys and pigs. According to Director Hans Baaij of the two organizations, 33
Dutch articles of law and European guidelines are transgressed in animal
breeding regularly.
