The Telegraaf daily reports that major problems in Dutch
prisons are not limited to the one in Alphen aan den Rijn, as earlier reported.
Personnel in the prisons in Ter Peel and Vught have told journalists about major
problems there as well. The Government’s Inspectorate for Security and Justice
has just published a report on the Vught prison which says that there are no
problems with security or with silencing abuses. Yet the report admits that in the morning
not all entering personnel is checked. It also states that not all cars can always
be checked due to too much traffic. www.telegraaf.nl/binnenland/25249761/__Meer_misstanden_bajes__.html
