Members of the Dutch police and army rapid response teams
are concerned that their shields are not strong enough to fend off shots from
heavy automatic weapons. Their French
colleagues discovered that such bullets penetrated their shields when they
stormed the Paris Bataclan theater when it was occupied by terrorists. The Socialist Party has asked the Minister of
Justice and Security, Ard van der Steur, to clarify the matter.
