Provincial Politicians Threatened with Death

Two members of the board of the Provincial Council of Northern Holland, Japp Bond and his predecessor Peter Visser, have been threatened several times with death. This is because of their responsibility for the permits to kill geese who hinder farmers or air traffic. They are also responsible for the controlled killing of deer in the Amsterdam dunes. Visser also said that his adversaries have compared him to Hitler and that he has even received sympathy cards in which his funeral is announced. The Board of the Provincial Council has informed the police.
