Alderman Lodewijk Asscher (Labor) who is in charge of education in the Amsterdam Municipality has threatened that he will take the parents of Muslim children who want to home school their children after next summer to court. He has already discussed this with the Prosecutor’s Office. The Islamitisch College Amsterdam - the Muslim school where they are learning at present, will be closed after the summer.
