Theft and drug dealing are regular phenomena at the Dutch Defense Material Organization (DMO). This department of the Ministry is responsible for buying and selling defense material. At the headquarters of the DMO, there is trading of illegal cigarettes, drugs and Viagra. Selling defense material for one’s own possession is common. Defense goods traded in this way include: laptops, car parts and cell phones. In addition, defense vehicles are taken for private use.
