On New Year’s Eve, the railway
station in Heeze was damaged by heavy fireworks. Tens of glass windows in its
pedestrian tunnel broke. Trains couldn’t stop in the station for half an hour
and afterwards, had to drive slowly until all the glass was cleaned up. Earlier
in the day, in the same town, an iron slide landed on the roof of a house due
to an explosion of fireworks.
