Police Petition: No Security in the Netherlands

The Committee of Concerned Policemen will present a petition to Minister of the Interior Guusje ter Horst (Labor) asking to guarantee the safety of the Dutch population. The petition states that “we think that citizens have the right to be informed that the safety they think they enjoy is now only an illusion.” The policemen say that the possibility of guaranteeing an acceptable level of safety is decreasing continuously. They asked the minister to stop the cost reduction program.
