A new ship for the Dutch Marines will cost almost 100 million Euro more than what was budgeted four years ago. The total cost will be 363.5 million Euros whereas in 2005 it was budgeted at 265 million Euros. Twenty-five million Euros of the extra costs have been caused by new environmental laws. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Jack de Vries (Christian Democrats).
