Hospitals under Pressure due to Lack of Home Care

Hospitals in the province of Drenthe can now take in emergency cases only. As home care companies are no longer accepting new patients, the patients must stay in hospital longer than necessary. A hospital director in Assen has predicted the problem will spread to other parts of the Netherlands as well later this year.
