Inspectorate Has Insufficient Confidence in Major Academic Hospital

The Inspectorate of Health doesn’t have sufficient confidence in the Board of the academic hospital UMC Utrecht.  With 12,000 employees it is one of the most important medical centers in the Netherlands.  The inspectorate has placed it under increased surveillance.  Its inspectors will make unannounced visits to the hospital in the coming six months, and the Board will have to present monthly reports on ongoing hospital activities.
