The Dutch public prosecution is increasingly preoccupied with home-made fireworks bombs which have begun to resemble explosives used by terrorists. The Justice Department admits that it is increasingly unable to deal with this matter. On New Year’s Eve, one 17 year old was killed when his home-made fireworks bomb exploded too early. The projectile included nitrate bombs, nails and lead. A 13 year old boy was killed by another firebomb. His father is suspected of having lit that bomb.
