Poor Security of Personal Data in Municipalities

The Inspectorate of labor and income has found that the security of personal data in municipalities is almost never effective. This was announced by Deputy-Minister of Social Affairs Jetta Klijnsma (Labor). Twenty-two percent of municipalities have no security when exchanging personal data with national insurance offices. The others have deficient systems. There is hardly even one which functions properly. Klijsnma is now demanding that communities put their systems in order within four months. Otherwise she will deal with this problem and let the municipalities pay the bill.
