A number of communities where small natural gas fields are
exploited, have written to Minister Eric Wiebes (Economic Affairs and Climate).
They warn about earthquakes. Alderman Klaas
Valkering of Bergen says that as the gas fields in his community are pumped at
an accelerated rate and earthquakes can occur which are even worse than the
current ones in the province of Groningen where the major gas fields are
located.
