Family Members of Srebrenica Victims Take Dutch Military To Court

Lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld has announced that she has initiated a court case against three military personnel who were part of the Dutch force in Srebrenica in 1995citing genocide and war crimes. Zegveld said that the Dutch Prosecutors Office has never undertaken criminal investigations of what happened there even though it was obliged to do so under European conventions. The court case was brought against the Dutch officers on behalf of Hasan Nuhanovic and surviving relatives of Rizo Mustafic as the Dutch military transferred their family members to Bosnian Serbs in July 1995 who subsequently murdered them.
