The shortage of military personnel and equipment greatly
influences the abilities of the Dutch military. This will lead to a reduction in
the two major Dutch military missions, those in Iraq and Mali. Minister of
Defense Hennis said that the continuation of the military missions abroad is handicapped by the
poor state of the equipment.
