The Dutch police have no money to introduce tasers. It will
however introduce an extendable truncheon. The police also claim that the
introduction of these two new weapons at the same time is not desirable. A new
police uniform was introduced in 2014. However, due to a mistake in its design,
policemen fell over their own truncheons. One policewoman was wounded and took
the police chiefs to court. The courts ruled in her favor and called the
uniform “Unfit and thus causing danger.”
