Writer Cancels Debate Participation Out of Fear of Muslims

The Dutch poet and writer Benno Barnard has cancelled his planned participation in a debate in Amsterdam about Islam. He is fearful of threats by Muslims. Earlier this year, a lecture he gave in Antwerp titled: “Long Live God, Away with Allah,” was disrupted by radical Muslims. Yoeri Albrecht, the Director of De Balie, the hall where the debate will take place has said that the withdrawal shows that intimidation works.

I understand those who fear the Muslims. After all, we brought so much to this world and you are afraid to lose it all because you misbehave.

Look at our achievements and be ashamed.
