Provincial Police Expresses Lack of Confidence in Police Chief

The Police Employees Council in the Province of Zeeland has expressed a lack of confidence in the Police Chief Fup Goudswaard and his deputy Marten Siderius. The Council claims that many employees have complained about them. In the meantime it seems that when Goudswaard was originally appointed in 2003, he was not investigated by the general intelligence service (AIVD) as is usual for such positions. Now the AIVD refuses to give him a clearance.
